The route

Flat, coastal, and hard to get lost on

The walk from Póvoa de Varzim follows beautiful coastal boardwalks through Apúlia, past its historic windmills, before crossing the iron bridge into Esposende. The terrain is flat and easy — a welcome stretch after the earlier stages. From Esposende, the route continues inland toward the historic city on the Lima River.

InnEsposende sits close to the route through the town centre, so pilgrims can drop their packs, shower, and be back out exploring — or resting — within minutes of arriving.
